PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT AND ENGAGEMENT ARE CRITICAL TO A STUDENT'S SUCCESS

The Parent Education and Empowerment Center’s Parent Empowerment Coaches and legal consultants provide FREE one-on-one support to help you to overcome obstacles, navigate detours, and avoid the potholes you may encounter as you guide your child's journey towards a quality education.

Assistance with:

COLLEGE READINESS

• Supports juniors and seniors with college applications and essay writing, also helps students and parents navigate FASFA completion.

INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION PLAN SUPPORT

• Advocates for parents and students with Individual Education Plans (IEP) and ensures the needs of scholars are met. Attend scheduled meetings and helps parents understand their students’ IEP.

DISCIPLINE POLICY SUPPORT

• Support for students and parents who have had disciplinary issues of discrepancies with their schools to restoratively return to school. Ensure parents’ voices are heard during discipline hearings with scholars.

FINANCIAL LITERACY

• Provide students and parents with understanding basic level financial literacy to ensure economic growth for generations to come. This includes budgeting borrowing, and opening checking and savings accounts.
